Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actress and musician. She started by releasing hilarious, intelligently composed rap songs that addressed questions of racial identity as well as sexuality. Then she expanded her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. Alongside classical music and jazz, she began studying hip-hop in her teens. While in the college years, she remained focused on her studies. She majored both in women's study as well as journalism. In a short period of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. After graduating, she began to concentrate on music. The track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. It eventually made it in her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. Some other hits that went viral included queef, a body positive track, and the witty NYC Bitchethe hometown tour for $. The final track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was which was published in 2015. Her resume contained both an author and musician. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. Aside from early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered several major roles like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June, she launched the EP In Fina We Trust.
