Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is an incredibly popular American performer and actress. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier who was a nurse and Tom Bell - a television director - she is an American singer and actress. She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen realized her potential in the entertainment industry when she was just a teenager. In 1992, she appeared at her first audition. She was successful and got the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mother established her with an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she got her first role in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. She also started taking private acting classes around this time. Bell appeared as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and the drama club. When her school staged a production of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was chosen to play Dorothy. Bell attended New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theatre after graduating. Bell quit university in 2001 to take on the character of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also that Bell made her first appearance in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part has been cut out and only the credits depict her. Bell was seen with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
