She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9 1983. She began her career in the field of real estate following her graduation from high school. It was through this that she met her future partner, Tarek El Moussa. This couple enjoyed great growth until 2008's market crash that resulted in a number of real estate investors and homeowners who were flippers fail. As a result of the crash Tarek and Christina El Moussa nearly lost all their assets. They moved from their expensive house, for which they paid $6,000 for a month, and moved to a small apartment which cost only $700. They slowly rebuilt their company and the entire economy. HGTV as well as Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted the help of a friend to make an audition tape for HGTV that featured Christina re-flipping a property from scratch. The tape ended up in the management of an executive at the production company Pie Town Productions. The execs were infatuated with Christina and Tarek's love story. They officially signed a contract with HGTV in 2012. "Flip of Flop" began its premiere in April 2013. Between 2013 and 2017 the show broadcast 92 episode. Christina and Tarek from the show, who were on the show, would purchase properties, which were typically mid-income properties in Orange County. Tarek does the demolition and renovation while Christina concentrates on style as well as making sure everything stays on schedule.
