Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini, a businessman. Her parents are of Italian, German (from the paternal maternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish descent. Linda was raised in San Francisco Bay and grew to be the youngest among four kids. When she was in her tenth grade she became fascinated by acting, when she performed in a play at school. She performed in school plays as well as local community theater. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School, Mountain View in California. When she finished her studies Linda was forced to decide which one she would prefer to relocate into New York or Los Angeles and pursue a theater degree. LA was her first choice. Lily James is a stage name used for Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson, an English actress born 5 April 1989. Her first acting experience began in the show Just William in 2010, a British TV series. Her breakout moment came in the year 2015 when she played the leading role in Cinderella which was a film about fantasy. She had previously played Lady Rose MacClare as part of the period series Downton Abbey. James was then cast as Countess Natasha Rostova on the TV adaptation of War & Peace in 2016. James has appeared in numerous films such as Baby Driver (2017) and period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society 2018 and The Dig 2021, as in the musicals Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019). She was nominated for an Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award in 2022 to play Pamela Anderson, the star of Pam & Tommy.
