Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, actress, American screen and stage actor and producer. She is most famous as a film actress for her role as a character in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer. She is actively involved in theater, film, as well as television. She began her career as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television shows, both mainstream and independent films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she was praised by critics and received a variety of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. Her professional acting debut in the role of Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. The actress has appeared as a character on Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film work is highlighted by her appearances on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. For her work on television she has been praised for her role as a regular character on ABC's police drama High Incident.
